Subject: PAN video developments
Hey all
figured I'd give it a startyou can see information on what I do and the equipment I have, the Video Tour Journal section has details on what I can offer to do, and the results are in the tour journals and conclusions updates in the NEWS/BB section.
in brief.. I'm an obscure prforming artist who tours extensively.. or at least makes a big annual loop.
I'm a do it yourself (DIY) and in this perspective, I've gotten top line digital audio and digital video recording and editing gear (PARIS DAW, SOny PD150 DVcam and Pinnacle/Premiere DVW)
to document my life and art. I plan to produce audiorecordings, CDs, and I'm not sure what the video will result in, but I know I can't do anything unless I capture the scenes as they happen in a unique life. I've done Video Tour Journals out of the 2000 tour ("AK2K"), though never got them on-line through the internet confusion of 2001. And frankly, it's all I can do to provide content, and being on the road, I don't have time to deal with the internet much, though it is the obvuious choice for DIY publishing... though I may just go to VHS like I do CDs.
But I would like to work with content distributors if I can.. I'd rather work with people than on my own.. always better than solo production to combine various strengths into a company.Mostly I see my role as a content provider, and as someone on the road with gear, willing to meet up with other peoiple to help other artists produce thier own content, within my schedule restraints. I'm not a pro producer or engineer, but could definitely help out other DIYers along the way to get at least quality raw footage for them to produce with on their own, and there's the potential to get involved in production of events or finished video etc.
